Vehicles parked on the sidewalk (not in a designated parking space) or parking in a fire lane are subject to a $100 violation. Please ensure you are parking in a parking lot, in a parking space.

Do I need a student permit for Spring/Summer 2022?
Allendale Campus: Permits are not required in designated STUDENT COMMUTER and ALLENDALE RESIDENT SPACES on the Allendale campus during the Spring and Summer Semesters. All other spaces, including faculty/staff, pay to park, and specially signed spaces require permits or payment.
Pew Campus: Permits are not required in designated STUDENT COMMUTER SPACES on the Pew campus. Pew Resident permits are required in Pew Resident spaces during the Spring and Summer Semesters on the Pew campus. This permit is also valid on the Health Campus. These permits are free. All other spaces, including faculty/staff, pay-to-park, and specially signed spaces require permits or payment. Please click here to register for a permit.
Health Campus: Health Campus permits are required on the Health Campus during the Spring and Summer Semesters to park in the shared ramp at 335 Michigan. These permits are free. All other spaces, including faculty/staff, pay-to-park, and specially signed spaces require permits or payment. Please click here to register for a permit.
GVSU is a permit-only campus.
If you do not have a permit, you may obtain one from either of our offices or utilize the pay-to-park locations.
Permits are required in faculty/staff areas Monday through Thursday, 3:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and on Fridays, 3:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Residential spaces on the Pew Campus require a permit 24/7.
Overnight parking (3:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.) is only permitted in residential parking areas.

Starting Monday, September 13, Winter Lot on the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus will become a Pew Resident-only lot.

our amazing plow team can get those cleared for us and so you don't get
plowed in. These are never parking spaces regardless of the season,
